Sunsets On Sunset

The temperatures are rising and drink specials are flowing, so bring some friends to highest rooftop pool in Los Angeles for "Sunsets on Sunset" every Thursday from 5 - 10 pm at the Andaz Hotel on the Sunset Strip.

The Andaz is throwing a summer party every Thursday evening and they promise great beats, delicious cocktails, yummy bites and fun games while taking in the 360-degree views of West Hollywood, the beaches and downtown LA.

They also have got some deals to start your Summer Solstice off right! $5 House Beer, $10 Frozen Drinks and $7 Sunset Special Cocktails from 7-9 PM. A great way to pre-game before hitting the strip.

In case you don't know....the Andaz opened in 1963 as the Gene Autry Hotel, and in 1967, it was renamed the Continental Hyatt House. With the hotel's proximity to popular clubs on the Sunset Strip such as the Whisky a Go Go, it made it the preferred Los Angeles accommodation for touring rock groups, notably English bands Led Zeppelin, The Who and the Rolling Stones. The unofficial nickname was the Riot House, a play on the name Hyatt House.

In 1976 it became the Hyatt on Sunset until February 1997 when the hotel was renamed the Hyatt West Hollywood. In January 2009 the hotel was renovated and renamed the Andaz West Hollywood.

Now, everyone is welcome to the roof...on Thursdays, and a great excuse to hang out at this iconic West Hollywood location.
