Benetton Is Back In LA

The United Colors of Benetton is back in Los Angeles, bigger, bolder and more colorful than ever.

Were you a big Benetton fan?  Were you sad when those united colors left our land? Do you miss those big warm sweaters and oversized shirts?  Well, if you are in Hollywood you can head on down to Santa Monica for the improved and very colorful new Benetton Store.

Benetton, the Italian brand united colored clothing company closed all of its U.S. stores years ago,  but now they want to come home again and they are doing so by testing the retail waters starting with the City of Angels, with its newest pop-up shop at Santa Monica Place.

The temp store is only here for holiday, staying until Sunday, Nov. 24, and will showcase the brand's latest streetwear-inspired women's and men's fall collections under new artistic director Jean-Charles de Castelbajac with prices ranging from $44 to $1,994.

Here you will find logo tees, oversized organic cotton graphic shirts, virgin wool crewneck sweaters, colorful palazzo pants, faux leather leggings, denim, reversible padded jackets, and one particularly winter-ready fluffy knit jacket emblazoned with sheep.

But, there is a twist. You won't be able to actually walk out of the store with the stuff you buy because the temporary store won't actually stock inventory.

Customers will be able to try items on in their size, and purchases will be shipped directly to their homes. It's part of United Colors of Benetton's new sustainability-focused strategy to reduce waste while giving shoppers a hassle-free in-store experience.

Welcome back home Benetton, I remember visiting you in the '90s at the Beverly Center. Wish you were staying longer...cause we ❤️you and the nostalgia you bring.
