Famous Faces Only

YUP, it's come to this.  Only in LA is there a selfie station that only people famous on social media can take a picture in front of.

Do other cities have selfie stations?  Those angel wings, those hearts, a pink wall...all the Instagram spots that people take pics in front of and post them to social media, or is it an LA thing?

Well, leave it to Hollywood to bump it up to another level.  Now there is a new security-guarded mural in L.A...and you have to be INSTA FAMOUS to be able to take your pic in front of it.  

How famous?  

According to the security guard, you have a verified check next to your Twitter name or at least 20,000 followers before you’re allowed to enter. #Goals

The sign reads:

PRIVATE MURAL

FOR VERIFIED INFLUENCERS AND PEOPLE WITH OVER 20,000 FOLLOWERS ONLY

WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

SEE SECURITY STAFF FOR PROOF AND ACCESS

INFLUENCERS: PLEASE TAG US ON SOCIAL MEDIA!

Back in my day, you only had to be famous on TV or in Movies to be a someone in this town.  

Apparently, this is all an advertising gag for a company called “like and subscribe,” which come out on July 9.  Ya gotta admit it's pretty brilliant...getting social media influencers to WANT to advertise for you...for free...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
