This Famous House Is For Sale

"The Beverly House," one of the most famous Beverly Hills estates is back on the market...and can be all yours for only $135 million bucks.

If you are a fan of the movies then you will know "The Beverly House." Once home to William Randolph Hearst, this is the very same estate that John F. Kennedy stayed during his honeymoon and is also the very same house used in that very famous scene in a little movie called "The Godfather."

Didn't see "The Godfather?" Well, maybe you know the home as the house owned by Steve Martin's character "Navin" in "The Jerk."

Or as pop star Rachel Marron's (played by the great Whitney Houston) simple pied-à-terre in 1992’s "The Bodyguard."

However you know it...you should also know that this enormous, 30-bedroom, 40-bathroom estate, also holds a ballroom with coved ceilings, a two-story library with hand-carved woodwork, an in-home theater with drop-down projection screen, and a pool room with a fireplace from Hearst Castle. The grounds include a huge swimming pool, pool house, and lighted tennis court.

But it's the rich Hollywood History that attracts folks like us to the estate.  So many tv shows and movies were shot here, that living here is like living in a movie studio.

In the Season 1 episode of "The Colbys" titled “The Turning Point”, the residence even stood in for the supposed Rome mansion where Francesca “Frankie” Colby (Katharine Ross) vacationed with Lord Roger Langdon (David Hedison).  Not sure why that's not the FIRST thing on the listing.
