Greystone Mansion Is Opening Its Doors For The Holidays

The Historic Doheny Greystone Estate, the proud peacock of Beverly Hills, is opening its doors for the holidays, and you are invited.

If you ever dreamed of stepping foot INSIDE the historic Doheny mansion to party like they did when the Doheny Family inhabited it, now is your chance, because the Friends of Greystone invite you to celebrate the holiday season at their Joy To The Holidays, the sights, scents, and sounds of the holiday season!

Greystone Mansion, the palatial estate, owned by the City of Beverly Hills is considered to be among California’s most luxurious residences south of Hearst Castle.

The outside grounds are a public park, open every day for visitors to enjoy, the interior isn’t. Events like this are one of the few times a year that the front doors are open to the public.

On Thursday, November 29th, Saturday and Sunday, December 1st and 2nd, from 11am to 4pm each day, ticketed guests can visit the rarely seen rooms and enjoy the beautiful holiday décor, festive interior designs by well-known interior designers, last-minute holiday shopping, food samplings and yummy holiday treats, entertainment, a self-guided tour of the first floor of the mansion, and much, much more!

According to event producer Robert Nieto, "This is a special time to see the mansion which is otherwise empty, designed with holiday cheer and a great opportunity to bring friends and family to see it fully decorated in holiday glam."

With the help of some of LA’s top designers and world-class brands, the mansion will be transformed into a stunning and spectacular wonderland reminiscent of holidays past.

Even though events like this are one of the ONLY times the public are welcome inside this historic home, it may not be the first time you have SEEN the inside.

So many movies and TV shows were shot here at Greystone.

You may remember it as the ‘Pasadena’' mansion in the Coen brothers’ The Big Lebowski, or as the hospital in Star Trek Into Darkness. It was Norman Osborn’s mansion in Spider-Man and Jack Nicholson’s 'Massachusetts' home in The Witches of Eastwick. Ghostbusters II, Death Becomes Her, Indecent Proposal, X-Men, The Muppets, Austin Powers: Goldmember, The Bodyguard, Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, All Of Me, The Social Network as well as TV series like The Gilmore Girls, Dynasty, The Last Tycoon, Revenge, Knight Rider and Fantasy Island (just to name a few) all shot at Greystone.
