An Evening With Barbra Streisand

Where else but in Hollywood can you pay hundreds of dollars to see MS BARBRA STREISAND at the Dolby Theater (the same theater that houses the OSCARS) but NOT to hear her sing?  Well, here:

The Paley Center Presents an Evening With Barbra Streisand.

That's right ...an Evening With Barbara Streisand is a non-performance...performance?  In other words....it's SIMPLY BARBRA.

If she doesn't come out and say to the audience:

I say MISSED OPPORTUNITY.

Babs (she told me to call her that) is being "honored" by the Paley Center for Media and is appearing at the opening of the Paley Fest Los Angeles, on March 13, 2018:

....but no singing.

Palye Fests are always a good time.  They usually involve the cast and creators of a beloved television series conducting a panel about the series with audience Q&A.  So why the funny girl?

Yes, we know Barbara is no stranger to TV, and yes she should be honored...worshiped...praised in ANY capacity, but the most recent thing she has done in media in the last few years was her NETFLIX show, which is a recording of her concert....with ummm SINGING.  #META

OK, well... I guess it will be like the time I saw her "perform" at the Hollywood Bowl and she sand half a song but then told story after story of her Brooklyn roots before bringing on her sister and her son to SING...and don't even get me started on the song choices. If you are interested in attending, better get tickets now. The 3,400 seat venue is selling out FAST. (ok I am not sure it is..but that sounds good...right??)
