The Shows That Didn't Make The 2018 TV Season

As we head into the BEST time of year...the new TV season 📺, I thought it would be fun to share with you all some of the rebranded shows I pitched this past year that were REJECTED.


“THE BRADY BUNCH”

This new reality show follows the life of Tom Brady who gives up his pro football career to raise 6 small precocious children...who are NOT his own.  Watch Tom as he balances life, kids and a new normal. Hilarity ensues...hope he doesn't FUMBLE.

"SAVED BY THE BELL"

An update of the original sit-com follows the lives of our favorite kids from Bayside High who are now all 40 years olds hooked on drugs, booze, and pills.  Seeking to change their destructive ways, these "old friends" seek redemption in their hometown church "Bayside Cathedral." It's here they ask the parish's new priest to "save them"  The priest is their old principal Mr. Belding.  Saved by the bell..the church bell!

“THE LOVE BOAT”

A reality competition show where strangers take a "singles cruise" and must "hook up” with other passengers to survive elimination to win a big cash prize.  The twist?  Some of the singles are contaminated with venereal diseases…but nobody knows who?   Is "love" really worth it...all?

"KNIGHT RIDER”

In this reboot, KITT is actually just an Uber driver named Kit who keeps getting dragged into adventures by Michael to keep his 5-star rating.

“GILLIGAN'S ISLAND” 

In this new version of the classic tv series, 13 moms are abandoned on an island where no one is screaming, fighting or touching them.  The twist…nobody wants to be rescued.

“ELIMIDATE:  TILL DEATH DO US PART” 

It's an updated version of the classic syndicated dating show mixed with "The Hunger Games.” The premise is simple: One woman dates four men at the same time and after each new round she must "elimi-date” the one she doesn’t like, but in this updated version there is one big difference.  The gal MUST shoot her rejected suitor with a gun OR a bow-and-arrow (ladies always have a choice in this show) until only her true love remains...alive.  Casting single guys....are you man enough to survive death?

“THE KIDS ARE ALL WHITE” 

It’s like "Black-ish"…but with just a few small changes.

“ALICE”

In this new version of the classic Linda Lavin sit-com, Alice is now an illegally immigrated Hispanic Superstar who is forced to give up her singing career in America when she is deported back to El Salvador.  The only asset Alice has is an old investment, a diner that she gives to her son Mel (who was born in Arizona) to run. Will mother and son ever be reunited? "Kiss my grits!!!"

"HOUSEWIFE SWAP” 

Remember Celebrity Wife Swap? This is just Bravo’s version where week after week, a different housewife swaps lives with another housewife.  Week one NeNe goes to Beverly Hills to figure out what the Munchausen fight was all about,  while Lisa Vanderpump confronts Kandi in Atlanta as they "see each other."  Week two, Teressa from NJ moves into the OC's Vicki G home that she shares with her COP boyfriends and must learn to sell insurance, while Vicki "woops it up" in prison while visiting Joe. This show would work, and you would watch...and you KNOW IT!!!

"CHiPs"

Each week new people tell milestone stories from AA meetings  (when you reach a milestone in AA…you get a chip…get it??) Keep coming back, it works if you work it, so work it you're worth it.

“SUDDENLY SUSAN”

It’s "Freaky Friday" meets "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."  In this updated version of the classic Brooke Shields sit-com, Caitlyn Jenner stars as "Donald" a misogynist CEO, who wakes up to find his mind inside the body of a trans-woman named Susan. Suddenly he is now looking at life through a different set of eyes.

"THE LUKES OF HAZZARD"

After "The Clone Wars " ended in space the Skywalkers are sent to earth to fight their ultimate adversaries...Roscoe P. Coltrain and Boss Hogg.

"Just some good-old clones...never meaning no harm, beats all you've ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they were...um...'born?' "

Admit it.  You would have watched EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.  📺  It's sad the viewing public will never see these gems.  That's Hollywood.  I still ❤️them lol.  xoxo
