"The Beverly Hillbillies House" The Most Expensive House In The Country

Shopping for a new home?  You must check out the most expensive house currently on the market in the United States..which also happens to be the one time home of "The Beverly Hillbillies."

"The Beverly Hillbillies House" aka "The Chartwell Estate" is a 25,000 square foot home in Bel Air that also comes complete with 10 acres, elaborate gardens, fountains, expansive lawns, a tennis court, ballroom, a 12,000 bottle wine cellar, covered parking for 40 vehicles, a 75-foot swimming pool, and a five-bedroom guesthouse designed by Wallace Neff.  The interiors were masterfully renovated in the late 1980s by Henri Samuel, one of the most important designers of the 20th century.

The house is listed at $245 million, a bargain considering that just last year it was listed at $350 million. Just to compare, the county record-holder for most expensive sale is held by a Malibu house which sold this year for $110 million.

The Chartwell Estate was built in 1933 by architect Sumner Spaulding.  In the 1960s, the sprawling French neoclassical house was famously used for exterior shots of the Clampett residence on "The Beverly Hillbillies."

Since I didn't win the 1.6 Billion Dollar Lottery I won't be purchasing this place, so it is still up for grabs.

So go ahead and buy the most expensive house in the USA, and be your own Beverly Hilllbilly...if you do we will be your "BEST FRIEND" and you know we will ❤️ya.
