Tab Hunter, the actor....the 1950's teen heartthrob who had a No. 1 record and starred in two outlandish films with the drag queen Divine sadly he died this year, but his image lives on in Hollywood.

AC Gallery on Highland Ave in Hollywood presents The Tab Hunter Paintings, a solo exhibition by artist Vance Lorenzini...a red carpet life celebration and tribute of fine art paintings honoring movie star Hunter...offering a glimpse into his ground-breaking career and the extraordinary life of a Hollywood idol turned American icon.

Vance Lorenzini is an American west coast artist that works with popular cultural subjects and has produced and designed hundreds of music videos and television commercials as well as several feature films and TV projects. He has created music videos for artists such as Madonna, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, Prince, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Dr. Dre.

Lorenzini's body of work explores the relationship between artistic expressions, cinematic images, celebrities, culture, advertisement, branding, and related musical themes and his collective work has even been honored by the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

The Tab Hunter show focuses on nearly 20 images of Hunter in a series of life-size paintings and runs at the AC Gallery through Nov 28, 2018.

So if you have an hour to kill, head on over to the big pink building on Highland Ave, south of Hollywood and north of Sunset.
