How To See A Live TV Show In Hollywood

If you ever wanted to attend a free TV show taping here in Hollywood, we got all the information you need.

There is nothing that says I ❤️Hollywood more than attending a free TV show taping, and whether you live in L.A. or are just to get tv tickets still remains a mystery to most people.

One of the best things about being in Hollywood is that so many tv shows and movies are shot here, and access to these tapings is pretty easy. Once you attend a taping, you are automatically part of Holylwood History.

Even though each show has a specific ticket system that sometimes involves a wait list, or waiting in person, you don’t want to miss your opportunity. The best way to get these tickets is by applying online, or by using an audience services company.

We have compiled a list of sites to get tv tickets...and the good news: TV Tickets are ALWAYS free! Please don’t ever pay for tickets to a TV taping...unless its the RuPaul's Drag Race Season Finale, that show makes you pay.

On Camera Audiences
Tickets for The Price Is Right, America's Got Talent, Big Brother, Dancing With The Stars, Let's Make A Deal, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Family Feud and more.  Reality shows book up quickly, but you can sign up for email updates to let you know when tickets become available.

Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Voice, The Talk, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Conan, and more. Also, you can also request tickets to Jimmy Kimmel by phone, weekdays, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., by calling (866) JIMMY TIX.

Ticket Me Quick
TICKET ME QUICK works with the Hollywood studios and other ticketing outlets to bring you fast and free tickets to tapings of your favorite Sitcoms, Game Shows, Talk Shows & More.

Audience Associates (AKA TV TIX):
Audience Associates offers free tickets to ABC, NBC, HBO, Paramount, Nickelodeon and more.

Audience Unlimited
Free Tickets to live tapings like The Big Bang Theory, Dr. Phil Show, America's Funniest Home Videos, and more. Call 818-260-0041 or go to their site

Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy
Best to book directly, but other sites do fill the audience.

You can apply online for tickets to The Ellen Show or contact the studio no later than noon the day of the taping to see if you can get a standby ticket by calling (818) 954-5929, but there is always a wait list for this show.

If you are going to attend a show taping, here are some things you must know:

Most tv tapings are 18+ and are pretty long hours.  If you don't want to be trapped in a studio, do not attend a taping.

Some studios require business casual attire especially if the cameras show the audience often, particularly for reality and talk shows. Read the instructions on your tickets. If you are not in proper attire, you may be relegated to a spot behind a pole somewhere, or put into an overflow room off camera. Well-dressed people have a better chance of getting the good seats and being on camera.

For sitcoms, the audience is never seen, so if shorts and T-shirts are all you have with you, then choose a sitcom.

Most studios are very cold because the studio lights can be very hot on stage for the guests and actors. Bring a sweater or jacket, even if it is hot out. The studios can get frigid, and you will be there quite a while.

Once you are seated, the audience warm-up person, usually a comedian, comes out to get the audience in a laughing mood. Usually, the warm-up person will keep you entertained during pauses, like when the cast is changing costumes or the crew is changing camera angles from one part of the set to another.

The entertainment is often interactive, so if you do impressions, you can volunteer. If you are lucky, cast members sometimes come to the audience to visit between scenes.

Most studios prohibit bringing food into the studio. Have a good meal before you go as you may be in the studio for up to six hours or more.

Be respectfull. Think of this as going to somebody's home.  People are working, and actors and crew are at their job. Remember everyone has a bad day at work from time to time.

If you have never been to a live TV taping...check it out. Go on and get ready to dance on Ellen or come on down to The Price is Right. Be part of Hollywood History. It's VERY Hollywood, and that is why we ❤️it.
