Dash To The Hollywood Sign
Getting around Hollywood no longer has to involve looking for a parking spot or inching along Hollywood Boulevard. Now you can DASH around.
You have probably seen these DASH (Downtown Area Short Hop) buses around town. They are a transit bus that currently operates 30 routes covering Downtown Los Angeles and many outlying communities within the City. Its primary function is to provide localized service and is a feeder into the countywide MTA Metro service. Also, they are a fraction of the cost of city buses.
Part of the DASH system is DASH Hollywood, and once you become more familiar with the convenience of DASH Hollywood, getting to your destination will become a lot easier. No longer will have to deal with parking fees or UBER fees. Just DASH.
DASH Hollywood shuttle runs between Highland and Vermont Aves., Franklin Ave. and Santa Monica Blvd. Anyone can hop on DASH shuttle at one of the many Hollywood stops where the shuttle bus arrives approximately every half hour. The fee is only 50¢, seniors 25¢, and if you have a TAP card (LA's Metro prepaid card) the fee is only 15¢.
If you are looking for a hassle-free way to view the Hollywood Sign...go DASH. With the inauguration of the new DASH Observatory bus service, you can board the bus at The Metro Red Line Vermont/Sunset Station or at stops along Hillhurst Avenue in Los Feliz Village and it will take you right up to the sign.
Plus, you can access hiking trails in Griffith Park, visit the world-famous Griffith Observatory, and even stay for a concert at the historic Greek Theatre. Sure beats waiting for an UBER.

I loved my time on the DASH shuttle and got some incredible views of the hills. After working with professional tree care arborists in British Columbia like https://www.greatervictoriatreeservice.ca/ doing environmental work for the government, however, I don't think the hills in BC can be beat. Still really beautiful by the Hollywood sighn though.
