A "Stranger Things" TV Carnival

Stranger Things is BACK and it's bringing The summer of 1985 right along with it.

The upcoming third season of Stranger Things finds the residents of Hawkins, IN the summer of 1985 and in the spirit of all things 80's, Netflix is transforming the Santa Monica Pier into a Stranger Things-themed carnival to celebrate the launch.

On June 29 and June 30, mega-fans can head over to the Hawkins-inspired pop-up to experience all the amazing things that Eleven and the rest of the crew would take a trip to The Upsidedown for – like dessert from Scoops Ahoy, the ice cream parlor slated to feature in the third season! The themed carnival takeover will also include a slime-filled dunking booth, a Demogorgon-filled Curiosity House, food eating contests, and magicians!

Guests will even have the chance to win a BMX from the Hawkins Bike Shop! Naturally, there won’t be a shortage of entertainment – don’t miss a special performance from the Hawkins High School cheerleaders or one of the many ’80s cover bands scheduled to perform over the weekend.

In addition, there will be a Stranger Things-inspired takeovers of some of Pacific Park’s existing amusements: The landmark Pacific Wheel Ferris Wheel will dress up as the Hawkins Wheel and the Playland Arcade will become Hawkins’ Palace Arcade.

The most exciting part of it all is that admission to the Stranger Things 3 Fun Fair is 100% free!

We ❤️Netflix for pulling out all the stops for us fans, so that we get to live inside the world of one of our favorite tv shows. Remember, one summer can change EVERYTHING. Other networks need to step it up for sure.  Let's meet at the arcade at the pier. xoxo
