Langer's Deli In West Hollywood

Langer's Deli, one of Los Angeles best and most iconic Jewish Delis, is moving to The Sunset Strip...well kinda.

Trisha Langer, daughter of Norm Langer is taking over the old Poquito Mas space on Sunset Blvd and opening Daughter's Deli, a fast-casual Jewish style deli featuring classic pastrami and corned beef sandwiches on hot double-baked rye bread. The target audience will be foodies, meat lovers, hipsters and the older generation who appreciate classic deli sandwiches and drinks.

Daughter's Deli will join Greenblatt’s, Canter’s, Wexler's, Art's, Factors, Langer's and Nate 'n Al as one of the last few Jewish delis operating in Los Angeles, and we couldn't be more excited.

Trisha worked at Langer's for 15 years and has now decided to branch off with her husband using some of the techniques she learned. Although Daughter’s Deli won’t be officially connected to Langer’s, Trisha's dad did release this statement:

I am very proud that Trisha is following in the footsteps of my parents Al and Jean by opening her restaurant with her husband. While Daughter’s Deli has no connection to Langer’s Deli, I am sure that everyone will love it. Like our humble beginnings as a 12-seat deli over 71 years ago, to the thriving operation, Langer’s Delicatessen-Restaurant is today, I am excited to watch Daughter’s Deli become another American success story.

Daughter's Deli is an important and anticipated addition to the culinary landscape of Los Angeles, and with the buildings of Nate 'n Al and Langer's rumored to have been sold, we don't know how long these L.A. institutions will last.

Thankfully there are great new restaurants like Daughter's Deli to entice us and tv shows like The Migrant Kitchen which delves into the enduring Jewish deli culture of Los Angeles to delight us on the importance of a Jewish Deli.

I have always loved Langer's but never loved its location, so I am excited that part of it is moving to West Hollywood and its presence will be felt on the Sunset Strip.  Can't-Wait!!! Daughter's Deli, we ❤️ you!!!
